Seen in Denver, Colorado. It was shortly thereafter fixed to warn of impending delays due to road construction in the area. (Via Facebook/9NEWS (KUSA))

I was taking my young nephews out to lunch when I passed this one. I’ve seen bad before, but this is just…well, there are no words for whatever this is!

. . . and for another thing, cobras don’t look like that at all. These guys, formerly in Cotati, California, are now out of business. I can’t think why.

Incomprehensible apostrophe misuse

I spotted this sign as I was driving past a pub in my local town (Gorseinon in South Wales), and was speechless at how this slipped past both whoever commissioned and whoever made the sign.

I managed to time my next driveby in order to stop at the traffic lights and make my husband take a photo for posterity.

I think the sign speaks for itself.

Dodgy Menu

The food is very nice at this place, but every time I go I struggle to see past the blatant abuse of the apostrophe going on in the menu.

I don’t have the heart to tell them they need to get all the menus reprinted.

Signs Work

I suppose that signs really do work. I drive by this sign shop every day and so far have resisted the temptation to vandalize their sign in the name of righteous punctuation.

What makes this particularly bad is the random use of apostrophes.

In the main breakroom at my place of work. The other technical writer and I can chuckle about this; I doubt (m)any others notice.
