It is NOT corrrect! The possessive of it is the exception to the rule! IT’S only means IT IS. ITS is the possessive of it. And it kills me when I see this error in print – how many proofreaders let this by, from start to finish!? Reply ↓

It’s always means “it is” or “it has”. Its is the possessive form of it.
