…batteries? …film?

Diane submitted this photo:

My kids and I drive to Colorado every summer to see family there. We never get tired of laughing at this sign at the Arizona border. We always wonder, “Bring your camera’s WHAT?”

Someone needs to check these checks

Alice writes:

I have to believe, for the sake of humanity, that the apostrophe placement on this check is simply a typo.

It makes my brain hurt to think otherwise.

Y’all use apostrophes correctly now, y’hear?

Maybe it’s a failure of my humanity, but the second photo of this news story makes me absolutely twitch.

A-pasta-rophe Abuse

Snapped this photo yesterday in Nevada City, CA at Miner Moe’s.

Thanks to Brian for both the photo and the title of this post.

Confuses me even if you add the apostrophe ;)

Carson sends in this photo:

While stopping at a restroom in southern New Mexico, near Socorro, we saw this abuse. We had a Sharpie and thought about fixing the sign.

Can anyone tell me what “Dogs’ Restrooms” would even be? A roll of plastic poo bags?
Or is this sign simply advertising a stop where dogs are present and restrooms are available?

The really sad thing about this sign is that it’s at the entrance of the parking lot for my university’s main library and English department building–so you know a lot of librarians and English professors are slowly going nuts from having to see this every day.
