Incomprehensible apostrophe misuse

I spotted this sign as I was driving past a pub in my local town (Gorseinon in South Wales), and was speechless at how this slipped past both whoever commissioned and whoever made the sign.

I managed to time my next driveby in order to stop at the traffic lights and make my husband take a photo for posterity.

I think the sign speaks for itself.

    That’s because Welsh apostophes are different. They are not needed to replace all the missing vowels in the language, so they make up for it by just sticking them anywhere so that they still feel wanted.
