CNN Guilty of Apostrophe Abuse

I was shocked to see this screen on CNN in a story about a man finding a dead snake in his case of beer.

    I always thought that an extraneous apostrophe in this possessive pronoun its is the most understandable form of apostrophe abuse – the writer is trying to show possession and doesn’t know that “its” is the exception.
