Wow! I have seen comments like this all over Facebook. Why do people insist on using apostrophes when making a word plural?

Saw the same thing in Swanee, Ga Walmart. Tried to upload it back in February, but had a problem and forgot to come back and try again. It’s made by Hanes, just in case anyone wants to let them know. Actually, seems to me I posted it on their FB page and it disappeared. Quickly.

I was once in a shopping centre and they had all these signs for sale and all of them said “Mums plant’s” Argh!!!!!

Seriously, it’s not that hard people. When you want to make a word plural, all you do is add an ‘s’. Of course, there are instances when you have to change the end of the word and then add the ‘s’ as in berry becomes berries, calf becomes calves, thesis becomes theses, hero becomes heroes, etc. This is usually taught in elementary school.

    *hard, people. I’m sorry…. :)

Mine are good, and Mom’s are better, but everyone always says Grandma’s are special.
