Sorry! Best Ever Childrens Game?

This Christmas we played the once-popular 1970s board game Sorry! with our children who, I have to say, enjoyed it very much. The strapline on the box says “the best ever childrens game which combines fun, simplicity, and rapid movement”…and poor punctuation, it would seem.

I’m guessing the grammatical mistake was that it should say childrens’. Maybe you were thinking children’s too, I can’t tell. This seems a little too debatable to me, as childrens appears to be widely accepted. You grammarians may disagree.

Aha, I see the Oxford comma! I have to fight against tech authors to use that at work.
