Coca-Cola loves it's employees

Ken writes:

They took down the banner the next day, either because they realized the mistake or they no longer felt love for their employees.

I consider myself a fairly good speller and punctuator.

"It's" and "its" catch me 9 times out of 10. This is one of the least intuitive rules of apostrophication.

Just group the possessive of "it" in your mind with the ones for he and she. No apostrophes in any of them.

his
hers
its

That will make it easier to remember.

And I always use "it's" = "it is".
The apostrophe looks like a tiny i. :)

Fantastic site.

I'm linking you all over http://bit.ly/apostrophese and will keep doing so for as long as I live.

But if you're Coca-Cola, there's no excuse for that.
