Just a little FYI: Depends where you get them in Mexico, but most traditional tortas don’t have salsa, or sour cream on them. They usually have some meat (milanesa, carnitas, ham, etc) Oaxaca or Swiss cheese, pickled serrano peppers or jalapeƱos, jitomate (a Mexican type of tomato), sliced onions, mayo, avocado, and, sometimes, refried beans.
Man… I’m getting hungry just thinking about them. =P
