Egg’s and Tomatoe’s



At a cafe called Circle 8 around the corner from where I live in Newtown, Sydney Australia.

What possesses them to think that ‘eggs’ needs an apostrophe I wonder? And why no apostrophe in ‘mushrooms’, then?
