Damon suggested that maybe these aren’t apostrophe mistakes at all; perhaps there are three tour guides based in Colorado Springs named Gold’s, Red’s, and Orange’s. In that case, it’s just a capitalization issue.

Actually, the park service has a rule that they do not use apostrophes at all on signage. Since 1891. Really.
