Wow. From a Colorado State Parks page describing fall colors and hikes.

Damon suggested that maybe these aren’t apostrophe mistakes at all; perhaps there are three tour guides based in Colorado Springs named Gold’s, Red’s, and Orange’s. In that case, it’s just a capitalization issue. ;)

Another submission from Georgia. In addition to “VCR’S”, it looks like there’s a sign that reads “USED TV’S” that’s partially obscured by the… well, the used TV out front.

BBC NEWS | Ad spells a headache for college

BBC NEWS | UK | England | Devon | Ad spells a headache for college: “South Devon College in Torquay placed the ad in a local paper, basing its campaign on the phrase ‘It’s not too late’, repeated over 23 lines. However, the ad left out an apostrophe, resulting in the word ‘its’ being used instead”

This has got to be one of the most common mistakes I see; this one is from a music store in Augusta, Georgia. I’ll try to post a picture soon from a store here in Seattle where they use an apostrophe for “CD’s”, but not for “DVDs”.
